Watercolor Class Washed Leaves

I'm taking an online watercolor class

This class is power packed with information.

I'm behind on homework, but not as behind as I usually am.

This wasn't my first try.

LOL, it wasn't even my second try.

But I did finally get something I felt I could put on a card!

Sometimes practice makes perfect good enough.

I'll be back with some more.

Thanks for the visit.

Enjoy!

Card Recipe
Stamps: Tin of Cards (SU)
Ink:  Chocolate Chip
Paper:  Watercolor (Arches 140 lb. cold press), Chocolate Chip
Other:  Watercolor (Winsor and Newton Aureolin, French Ultramarine, Alizarin Crimson), Leaflets Framelits, Hello You Thinlits (SU)

BLUNDERS AND BLOOPERS

Here are the ones that didn't make the cut.

Thought I'd share them too.

I decided to skip the hearts.  I wasn't feeling very loving at this point!

You & Loll must be head of the class! I've not even looked at the videos! I LOVE your leaves. (I thought the hearts looked good too!) The final result of your pretty leaves look wonderful, and perfect on the design of this card. Love the dimensional sentiment. Guess I better hunt up my set of tube acrylics cause I don't have any of the paint supplies. I did look at the pre-class video! TFS & don't be too hard on yourself.

Looks like a fun watercolor class Bonnie! I love your leaves, they looks great. Your sentiment is perfect and it really catches the eye since it is so bold and it pulls out the stems of your leaves. Love it! Of course I think your hearts are looking pretty dang good as well. Can't wait to see what other homework you have from class. Hugs, Brenda

Love your leaves Bonnie!! It was worth your while to persist to get such a wonderful outcome.
I tried some water colouring the other day - I was eventually satisfied with it, but there were a few moments that I thought I had 'blown' it in the process, so I can empathise with your 'bloopers'. I will be blogging the results later...

Seeing what you, Loll, and Nancy are doing for the class makes me think the class is way beyond my ability! Love your leaves with their beautiful blend of colours.

I love how your watercolored leaves turned out Bonnie. Your CAS design is a perfect way to show off your watercolored wash technique. TFS my friend.

Your leaves came out spectacular! I love that you shared your bloopers. That way we really can believe you when you say it takes practice. I do wish for more skill with water colors. Don't seem to have to practice though so that's on me.

Beautiful little leaves Bonnie, I honestly didn't think you needed classes, I've seen your gorgeous water colored cards and they always look amazing.
I love water coloring and one thing I would love to learn how to do is COLOR WASH, I get nervous when I do this, to me, it always looks just messy.
Thank you for sharing this lovely card and your "bloopers" too, all of those hearts might still be able to be used, the colors are so beautiful

Those leaves are terrific, Bonnie. I've practiced and practiced and still don't have much I'd show for it. I think my problem is the paper and lack of good paint colors. It couldn't be me. ;)
